Fall Wine Festival 2011

Our annual fall wine tasting has come and gone. As winter gets closer everyone enjoyed coming out to drink some wine and have a good time. The sellout crowd kept the room buzzing and the wine flowing.

This month we had a good taste of comparable wines from California and Argentina. And to shake things up we had a Italian limoncello, that reminded everyone of a lemon-drop with a kick.
Jim Rutledge visits Deans

Four Roses master distiller, Jim Rutledge, stopped into Dean's to sign a few bottles. Jim has been at Four Roses since 1995, and has began to revamp the Four Roses name. We are honored to have Jim visit Dean's, and if your a big fan of Four Roses, be sure to stop in for a bottle. We have a very limited supply of signed bottles of all Four Roses bourbon.
July Vodka Tasting

This month, we shake things up, and brought in 6 vodkas from Three Olives. Makers of over a dozen different flavored vodkas. We tasted flavors like: RangTang, Purple, Dude, Cherry, Bubble, and Chocolate.
Spring Wine Festival 2011

Dean's annual Spring Wine Festival was a good time by all who attended. Villa Marie winery, in Maryville, was host to over 200 wines, and even a few beers. Dean's was sure to have plenty of wine to be sure everyone could find wine to match their palette and budget.
WhiskyFest Chicago

Ryan made the trip to Chicago, IL for the annual Malt Advocate WhiskyFest! This sold out event was a one stop shop of 275+ pours of whisky, bourbon, and scotch. Ryan tasted his way through the crowd of nearly 2000, and hopes to bring some of his favorites to the shelves at Dean's. So next time you're looking for a new whisky ask Ryan what was his favorite from WhiskyFest.
April Whisky Tasting

This month, Ryan lined up five whiskies totally new to Dean's and most of its customers. So everyone really enjoyed tasting and comparing the bourbons and whiskies that were poured. Everyone loved the Rockhill Farms from Buffalo Trace, and the Old Ezra 7 year proved to be the best value of the evening.
Irish Whiskey Tasting

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, Dean's was host to their annual Irish Whiskey tasting. Special thanks to Tom "Wing-nut" Crowder for bringing us samples from each of the three distilleries in Ireland.
March Craft Brew Tasting

Special thanks to Joe, the true "King of Beers", who hosted our spring craft beer tasting. Joe iced down six different beers for everyone to sample. Everyone enjoy the pretzels and beer, before the rain got to heavy.

We had a good turn out, and got to taste some great value wine. The wine we tasted was chosen because it would appeal to a large variety of people, and at a good price.
